Within Temptation - The Heart of Everything (2007)

El 12 de Marzo de 2007 publican por medio de Roadrunner Records su cuarto disco el cual fue llamado "The Heart Of Everything", un disco de éxito no muy superior a su anterior trabajo, pero sí en distintos sectores. El álbum abandona el sonido melódico y lento de su anterior disco para obtener un sonido mucho más metalero, rítmico y fuerte. El disco es en general mucho más acústico que los anteriores, el uso de guitarras es mayoritario al de teclados o piano. La generalidad del disco es menos repetitiva que el anterior, más original y con el que empiezan a crear una música más personal, con menos influencias, que les lleva hacia un nuevo estilo. En este disco encontramos temas como 'Frozen' o 'Our Solemn Hour', que reflejan más madurez en sus canciones.
